To view John's schedule, click on the "Calendar" link, at right ---» NEWS FLASH! — John has made the move across country and is now residing in Northern California! In 2008, he will still be working all over the U.S., and is honored to play opening night of the Lionel Hampton Int'l Jazz Festival, celebrating Lionel's 100th birthday (with Ed Polcer's All-Stars along with Houston Person, Wycliffe Gordon, and Joe Ascione). Overview of festivals and jazz parties for 2008 — In addition to his regular appearances, John will be on the East Coast for the North Carolina Jazz Festival in Jan., the Carroll Family's Atlanta Jazz Party in April, and on the West Coast: San Diego Jazz Party in Feb., Sacramento Jazz Jubilee in May during Memorial Day Weekend, the Sweet & Hot Music Festival in Los Angeles during Labor Day Weekend, and the San Diego Thanksgiving Festival in Nov. In the Midwest, there's the Lionel Hampton Int'l Jazz Festival on Feb. 20th, and the (Bessie Smith) Chattanooga Trad. Jazz Festival in early May. In the Northwest, John will be a guest artist at the American's Fest. in Lacey, WA. John will also appear with two symphony orchestras along with Ed Polcer's All-Stars. More events are in the works and will be posted on the main calendar (links at right).
