Sunday was a nice day, not too hot, not too cold. Inside of JB's Lounge, however, it was smoking!! With over 100 people in attendance, Vince Bartels and company, with guest saxophonist Harry Allen, played to a completely enthralled audience ... what I heard was wonderful.

From what I was told by those who wrote me, they grabbed the audience from the first song and didn't let go until the last note. Vince Bartels was on drums, Shelley Denny on bass, John Cocuzzi on piano and vibes, Steve Homan on guitar and of course Harry Allen on tenor sax.

It was a magical evening, and we added some new members to our "family." Thanks and welcome.

As I have said for six years, Sunday Evening Jjazz is the place to come to see some of the finest that Sacramento jazz has to offer, in a comfortable jazz supperclub setting. The food is good, the service good and the music — superb!!
